February Recap and March News

February was a month to focus on friendships and cultural diversity. As the children prepared for their Valentine’s Day celebration, they reminded one another of the value of kindness, friendship, and sharing. They passed out Valentine grams and shared snacks with one another, which opened the conversation about giving and gratitude. In groups, they worked together and created friendship trees to remind everyone of the friends they have in class.

Throughout the month, the children discussed Asia and some of their landmarks, such as the Great Wall of China, and their culture, like traditional clothing and food. They also learned about the celebration of Lunar New Year, which began the year of the Wood Dragon!

As we move onto March, we will welcome spring and hope for warmer days! This month, the children will focus on South America and the Rainforest! We will also read Dr. Seuss’ books as we celebrate his birthday and discuss the impact he has made on early literacy. In addition, we will have a St. Patrick’s Day celebration with green outfits and artwork. Spring break will be the last week of March (March 25th -29th), but childcare will still be provided if needed, for an additional cost. Looking forward to many more fun-filled days together!
